Title: Aerial wont go down
Post by: eyedee on May 11, 2004, 09:48:32 PM
I took my Sony Stereo out today to plug in a set of Phonos to the sub output and connect a remote wire, and on reconnecting all the wires the aerial stays up all the time when the headunit is powered on whether its on TUNER, CD or AUX.  The aerial did pop out the back of the unit when I was trying to get the stereo back in and touched the cage of the sony which sent sparks flying from the aerial plug!  Could this have blown a fuse somewhere?
Cheers  :wave

Hi Nath,

Does your head unit have a AF/TA option? I know my sony unit does and if either of these are switched on the aerial will stay up all the time.

ps. Got your pm, cheers :)

edit: TA is traffic announcement, dunno what AF is though

I have a sony unit too, and my aerial does not go down. That\'s interesting, i\'ll try turning off AF...which is Alternative Frequency by the way!! :)

Hi Rob,
You\'re right.  I turned off the AF/TA and the aerial went straight down.  :)  Cheers very much for that - and there was me getting ready to re-wire it all! :rollin
Cheers
Nath
