Title: Single Turbo EGT Bung Thread Sealant
Post by: paul3944 on February 24, 2010, 08:46:09 PM
Hi,

My Turbo exhaust housing has been drilled and tapped for a EGT probe.

I wont be using this so have got my local welder to plug the hole :Giggle

Problem is can anyone reccommend a thread sealant for the bung, I have researched here and Rx7club and cant find anything.

The only sealant I could find was "Permatex Ultra Copper" but this is rated at 370C.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Paul

Don\'t weld it, get a O2 bung and the copper crush washer seals it, worked fine on mine until I plugged it with an O2 sensor!
