Title: M1tch has gone quad turbo!
Post by: m1tch on February 21, 2010, 08:57:03 PM
Ok Ok Ok they aren\'t all bolted onto the engine lol

Here are the turbos I have ready to fit in my garage - all are earmarked though, so sorry if you want one lol :P

Here are the 3 turbos I have in my garage (the 4th is bolted onto my FC lol)

From left to right,

Greddy T88 (this is MINE! Hands off lol) this will be bolted onto my FC next year at some point.

Stock OEM FC3S series 5 turbo, quite big actually, this will be used in a game of musical chairs involving turbos and 2 FCs :)

Garrett GT25 - this is a stock turbo on the 300zx (the engine has 2) and is bolted onto the Nissan 200SX s13 and s14a, this is going to be bolted onto my mates 1.8 MX5 that will offer about 240bhp and instant spool :)

Oh any here is a turbo I don\'t have anymore, its a Garrett T04 but unsure of model, it is currently bolted onto martins (speedline imports) MX7 (MX5 with a 13b engine) and it currently making nice power!

I was tempted do stack 2 stock turbos instead of a larger turbo, its done on high power tractor pullers, the problem being that yes the boost will ramp up really well, the bad point is that as the air is compressed it heats up, so the first turbo will be pushing very hot high pressure air into the inlet of the second turbo to compress it more and increase the temp lol would probably melt something with whats coming out the 2nd turbo lol :Giggle

If it was like that it would just be whatever boost the last turbo makes overall lol the idea of stacking turbos is to push already compressed air into the next turbo to compress it further :3gears-lh
