Title: FD Emissions Limits
Post by: rxangus on May 11, 2004, 08:46:36 AM
Hi All,

Been doing a fair bit of research into emissions regs as it\'s MOT time tomorrow. This is what I\'ve come up with for what it\'s worth.

Cheers

Angus

CO <= 0.5% normal idle

CO <= 0.3% fast idle
HC <= 200ppm fast idle
Lambda 0.97-1.03

Angus, thanks very much for putting this information up!! ;)

My Rex went for it\'s first MOT yesterday and failed on the emissions. However from reading this thread before hand I was able to point out to the MOT tester than since my car was first registered April 92 it could be tested as if it didn\'t have a CAT - even though it does. He re-tested it and it passed!! :D

Cheers, thanks a lot buddy!

Jon.

I thought the UK cars (pre june/july) even though fitted with cats where not cat tested as they are pre regulation?? ie 3.5% hydrocarbons etc.... :confused:

I\'m not sure what the dealis mate... I just asked the MOT tester to re-test it with the pre-August 92 test, and he did.
