I thought id do the rear brakes so does anyone know of an upgrade for rear calipers on the fc?
Im not looking for a new set just wondered if there were any compatable with the fc,as the ones on the fc don\'t look to be the best.

Braided lines with OEM calipers are a good upgrade lol most \'performance\' jap cars had single pot rear calipers lol

I think there is a conversion that can be done with R32 front brakes and calipers, but not sure about the rear, personally I would just uprated the disks and pads all round, get braided lines and change the fluid and do a proper brake bleed.

corksport do a kit that gives you bigger discs not cheap though!

The problem with upgrading the rear brakes is you have to heavily uprate the front to keep the correct brake bias, I got new disks and pads for £300, just upgrading those rears on the corksport website is £500 and you would need to do the front, not to mention needing larger rims to clear the calipers!

I think this conversion is more for looks than performance although you get a bit more area for the pad to grip you\'d still be running stock calipers.

Just wanted to check if there was a well known upgrade.  :)

out of interest - why have you dropped the rear end ?

this is one of the reasons why--

Bearings went in the pinion shaft munching the gears, and as you all know to get the diff out the subframe has to come down.

So i thought id make a proper job of it and re-do the rear end and get all the rust off and insert some proper bushes.
