Title: any tips for lining up exhaust sections?
Post by: jackaleks on February 14, 2010, 05:38:30 PM
been playing around with my new exhaust bits today but i can\'t line the midpipe up with the downpipe.

i can get one bolt through the downpipe and into the mid but the flange is twisted and i can\'t seem to get the other hole lined up - i know they fit because i test fitted them before putting them on the car.

first time i\'ve ever done this so, any tips? :)

Answered on FDUK. You always start from the front.

Screwdriver through the holes :) or get someone to weld a threaded bolt on the other flange to use as a pin to line up the parts :)

you need to connect to the down pipe first (as this is a solid fix to the engine) then you can twist the rear section on the rubber mounts to line up the 2 bolts.
