Title: Wheel advice on a FD
Post by: sammysideways on February 13, 2010, 12:54:54 AM
hi:WaveBye

Been trying to get some rims for my rx7 fd but im really struggling to find anything to suit the car. any ideas? I dont wanna spend huge budget on wheels but want something that looks aggressive. I was thinking R33 GTR wheels. anyone have any pics of a FD on GTR wheels? any other ideas?

Thank you in advance

not 100% sure but the offsets of the r33 rims might be a bit tight on the rx7 arches? SiH will be on here soon enough to tell you though :)

i want some ssr viennas for my rx7, but i also wanna put some feed rear arches on it so i can stick some decent offset on! on my 200 i was running et15 front and rear in 9.5" wide by 18 and didnt have any rubbing issues on the stock wings, im pretty sure i would have most of that hanging out the arches on a fd :(

Should on included that im not worried if the wheels dont fit in the arches. Im just going to get the arches rolled or new frp wings. ive been offered cheap r33 gtr rims too just wanna try and see what they will look like. any other ideas?

R33 GTR\'s will fit front with a 225 (possibly even a 235) and should fit rear with a 225. May be able to squeeze a 235, dependant on camber.

Tight lip roll and you can easily pop 255\'s on the rear.
Be wary of the centre bore though: Nissan use 66.1, Mazda use 67, so you\'ll either need to use non hubcentreic spacers that are big enough to clear the lip on the hub, or get the centres of the wheels machine out (what I\'m going to have to do)

I\'ve got a piccy on my work PC of an FD on 33GTR\'s, but not here. Pure hotness. But I don\'t think there\'s a single 5 stud car that R33GTR\'s don\'t look good on. Except R33GTR\'s. They look crap on those.
