ok ive read and looked every where i know how to bleed one and what they do .
i have one i want in my fd its a wilwood version i need to know how to install it , can i still keep the cable handbrake ? will this installation mean all my braking is at the front and the hydrobrake is the rears ? when they talk about front pipe to mastercylinder and rear to brake lines which way round is that on the ebrake ? any diagrams and pics welcome
not sure about fitting the hydro, at a guess you just connect it inline to the rear brake? doubt it\'s as easy as that though!
i do know you\'ll need to keep your cable brake if you want to drive the car on the road, you won\'t pass an MOT without one and you won\'t be able to leave the car on a hill :P
dont touch the cable hand brake.
Its up to you really, some people will advise removing the abs..some wont.
On ours we just removed the abs fuse as we wanted to keep the abs. If i remember correctly there is one pipe going from the front of the car and t-piecing at the back. Just un do it at the back, bring it into the car and plub it into the hydro. Then make a new pipe from the hydro the rear t-piece.
Done ! Did it to my BMW e36 and my bros Rx7 FD.. was pretty easy to be honest.
:)
so does that mean you lose the rear brakes from the foot pedal magic? thanks for the reply
No fella
all the brakes remain completely in tact all your doing is putting a valve in the middle of the pipe. If you stamp on the brakes all the wheels work the same.
However if you pull the hydro just the back brakes lock up :)
(altho the best way to make the back wheels lock is to press the foot pedal alittle to prime the brakes and then pull the hydro)
Have a look here for some more info

there is no need to prime the brakes just bleed it the way dw tells you and your laughing bu you should know if you use the footbrake while already on the wand the back brakes ay bind once you have released them a quick touch of the brakes frees it all up again
