Hi everyone just joined the forum today, thought it would be a good idea for some advice and to show of my car!
I am from Dundee, Scotland.
Just picked up my first RX-7 efini twin turbo last week.
Imported from Japan a year ago, I am the 3rd UK Owner.
Age 1995
Genuine 25600 KM! / 16000 Miles!
Engine is immaculate - NO MODIFICATIONS TO ENGINE!
Ok it needs a few bits and pieces done to it due to age / not being looked after - passenger door handle broken, rear shocks, boot leak, dodgy window switch, and 2nd turbo sometimes doesnt kick in.
Im sure youl be seeing me around the forums from now on :)
Also are there many members on here near me?
A few photos of my car:

Welcome mate, nice looking car.
Thats a crazy low mileage.

They all do that by the way, all it takes is one careless slam...
Quote from: Macca-RX7;671524rear shocks,
yep, they all blow them eventually too....

errrr, yeah, this too, possibly spoiler mounts, maybe window trim....
Quote from: Macca-RX7;671524dodgy window switch,
yep, they all d.....ahhh, you get the idea

hmmm, most of them will do this at some point in their lives too. Usually a dodgy solenoid/split vacc line in the rat\'s nest somewhere. Good luck wi that one, dude :(
Just about everyone here is happy to help, so don\'t worry about asking questions, and welcome in :Thumbs-up
Excellent, not enough Rotaries in Scotland- Thats why all the good mechanics are down south, bah!
Welcome!
Hi and welcome to MRC,
Nice looking car and with those few things sorted will make it a great car, plus now you have found us here on MRC you have already seen above that we have real good members very willing to help, :chat:3gears-lh
nice car, what history do you have? 16k miles and all those faults?
Yeh I\'ve heard that the door handles are very fragile.
I fixed it today, along with the boot leak which was that whoever fitted the new spoiler didnt seal off the holes for the original spoiler!
Ive got new shocks which I will be fitting this weekend aswell.
The window switch is only dodgy when I try to put up the drivers window - It can take ages fiddling around with the switch till it works!
Looked around for a replacement but they were wanting £200!
I dont have much history about the car, most paperwork I have is in Japanese!
I knew the 2 previous owners, the 1st always worked offshore so never had any time to drive it, then sold it to a friend of mine who simply couldnt afford to drive it!
So for UK history it doesnt really have any apart from repairs it had done to pass its MOT.
It does sound like a lot of problems for low milage but they are mostly due to age / not being looked after.
The only real problem is the 2nd turbo.
I will be getting a boost gauge fitted soon and will be troubleshooting the turbos to see what the problem is, I do hope that it is something simple!
Thanks for the comments and im sure you guys will help me out with whatever problems I may have! :cool
Lovely looking motor, i thought my 92 plate with 27k was good :Giggle
