Title: Pillowballs question
Post by: Bulla on February 10, 2010, 05:01:01 PM
Can anyone tell me if this is all I\'m gonna need from RHDJapan to do the rear pillowballs please ?

Also am I ok in trusting a local performance garage to do these for me or better off at a Rotary specialist ?

Ta

Your local garage should be able to grasp this!!  Id even go as far to say as you should be able to do this yourself....as long as you dont adjust any of the settings

I did contemplate this but the combination of the weather, no garage and no press quickly made me decide otherwise :Hammer

Thats not a bad price for all 6 to be honest if it includes all shipping costs ?

A local garage should be ok with these assuming they\'ve done this sort of thing before?
I did mine myself but it is hard work without a press... (hence why i\'m now buying a 20T press as they are soo cheap lol)

Looks a bit of a ball ache doing it with the bolts and washers but I bet it\'s pretty easy with a press.

I didn\'t bother with the spring clips but doesn\'t look like much more so worth doing. Did these without a press too, the difference is amazing.

Do you really need them all doing?

When I had mine looked at, there were only two at the rear that actually needed replacing - I can\'t remember the exact discussion now, but they take more of the forces that the other pillowballs or something.

You prob dont need all them doing, as Aubec says, it\'s only really one that takes the most stress which is this one, i\'ve done all mine but to be honest the remaining 4 were all ok and could have saved a fortune and lot of time....

Hmm, maybe I\'ll do the two and see how they are then. Am I going mad or are there 4 bushes on that diagram ?

There is 8 on the rear 6 large and 2 small. You might aswell do them all tbh. If you dont want to do them your self pop down to haywards as Ian is excellent at doing them.Keith
