Ive just tried calling him....not a number I recognise, so unless someone that has been working for me has changed their number...certainly not one of my people.

Anyway he didn\'t answer....so lets see who gets communication first!

Just had an email from eBay :)

so we can see where that leads now :) :)  Sorry to spoil your chances of getting a free set of something, but at least if he is going to advertise something he could make it and sell one first!  Rather than putting up pictures of someone elses!!

to be fair... coming from a photographers point of view, as long as he wasnt saying "skirts for sale the exact ones fitted to this car" then all he is doing is the same as other companies that sell them as "feed style" they are sold in the UK as a copy of the feed ones, he is selling his as a copy of the copy of the feed ones...

also regarding copyright, as the images were posted on the internet on forums and no copyright was expressed, by using them yes the photographer owns copyright and he should of asked the photographer but it wouldnt stand up in court, only way that would work is if on your thread where you posted the image you said "images copyrighted no use of the images are permitted without permission of the owner" but its done now and a simple email made the guy take the images off, which most people will do, contacting ebay and getting in a strop about it is a bit extreme to most people but oh well its done now.

even so, i don\'t think copyright is as easy that. if images are anything like music you can\'t just say "this is copyrighted by me" and be done with it.

if he\'s on the forums he could\'ve at least asked though, legality aside it\'s just polite!

copyright of an image as soon as its taken is legally copyrighted to the photographer, he owns the image and copyright, if the image is sold then the person its sold to has the rights to use it as they wish.

btw im a photographer lol.

when you sign up to photobucket you sign a disclaimer saying that you allow them to advertise using your images or use them for promotional use etc... you agree to their terms and conditions... if you didnt read them then thats your fault lol!
