Title: Best Location for Fuel Pressure Regulator
Post by: C J R on February 01, 2010, 10:58:08 PM
Sice buying the RX I have not been happy with the location of the fuel pressure regulator.
It was left hanging in the space between the bulkhead and UIM. I fastened it to the brake pipes with tie wraps !! (I know not the best thing to do).

(Picture of current location attached.)

Now I am ready to relocate it, but where to ?
Is it best located as near to the injectors as possible ?

I understand its a pressurised fuel system, but can the regulator be mounted below the injector height anywhere in the engine bay ?

Can it be located in any plane, (ie with the gauge face pointing upwards) ?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

Thanks Lee.

Now I have space without the ABS unit, I planned to locate it on a bracket off the bulkhead. Sounds like it will be in a similar location to yours.

Or you could mount it in front of the engine if you have a lot of fuel rails and have no space either side of the engine :rollin
