Hi All,
Just back from a 700 mile round trip to WGT to get Pip to fault find my low boost on secondary turbo (0.2 bar).
Turns out the charge control solenoid was toast and the bad news is that because it\'s a 96, you can\'t change out the solenoids individually - you have to change the whole pack which cost £600 from Mazda or £300 from Japan. In any case Pip didn\'t have one so I still have no secondary boost. Will have to make the trip again once he gets me a new pack. At least he found it quickly!!
On the plus side the car got a full service and a new cat so it\'s running well (apart from the above) and the boost spiking/fuel cut has gone due to the restriction of the cat.
Anyone else on here has solenoid probs on a post 96 car? Pip said it was the third faulty pack this year!!
