hi
i am about to complete a single turbo upgrade....
using a turbonetics t62-1....the aim is not to hit more than 400bhp.....
but will a standard clutch (newish) cope or will it require an upgrade also....
please note money issues .....
thanks
Not a chance I\'m afraid.
My uprated cover Exedy just about coped with 360 and 3.5 lbft, but would slip on hard launches.
No, the engine will eat the clutch lol There is an F1 6 puck sprung clutch that I had, but then sold it to Flickstrr who is using it on his 400bhpish drift car, thats holding up nicely :)
I\'ve gone single and have a standard clutch. I\'m running roughly around 400 bhp and the clutch has only lasted 2 weeks before it started slipping. I\'ve just ordered a 6 pad clutch from a company called competition clutch . I was told that it would easily hold the power. I will keep you updated on how it copes once fitted.
Got a Exedy Hyper Single on mine. Couldnt really afford a twin plate at the time but this seems to be doing the job nicely although I dont give it too much abuse. Running about 360 or so on a single turbo
I\'m gonna be having this problem soon. Nearly finished putting my single turbo set up on and will be using a standard clutch till i can get the money for a better one.
Hoping it\'ll be ok while i run the engine in

James at JM garage has a twin plate clutch for sale, its a £1200 clutch, its done about 600 miles I think and he is selling for less than £1200!
