Hi
Just wondering if anybody could help me,iam after a induction kit and slighty confused as theres alot of tubing coming out of mine and alot of engine bays i have seen havent got tubing, can anybody give m a heads up or even better pictures so i can see what going on
John
The extra tubing will probably be the air pump hoses that attach to some aftermarket filters. A lot of people take the air pumps out due the the amount of space they take up if they are running a larger turbo, or just want more space.
ahhh right weel i still have the twin turbo and think iam going to keep it that way so its ok to take the air pump out then
The air pumps are for emissions, you can get kits that keep the air pumps, perhaps post up on the wanted section for an induction kit? Try and find some Apexi twin cones :)
m1tch beat me too it !!

The purpose of the air pump is for emission control as I understand it pumps air into the catalytic converter to help reduce the level of some chemicals, So if you still have the OEM catalytic converter then you have to keep, but running without (decat) you can remove, however it requires a blanking kit, which DM motor sports on here sells, good piece of kit at great price.
HTH
Just make sure that the car is decatted if you take out the air pumps, it pumps airs into the exhaust as well as supplying cooler air to the cats to stop them imploding due to the heat of the exhaust!
right thanks for the help fellas
