Hey
what kind of radiator collant do you use,its running a bit low and i want to top up,i brought some from halfords is that any good
john
So im told its the green/blue stuff used in these cars instead of the red stuff.
Sure someone will know the reason why, i wouldnt mind but i have two full bottles of the advanced red halfords stuff in the garage which i bought, then was advised against so i bought another two of the green instead.
Anyone used this stuff? reccomended from rx7club yanks love it??:Giggle

I think you need the stuff with glycol ethol in it (differnt manufacturers have different colours) you need to get one that says that it is safe for aluminium engines, else the coolent will eat the engine.
dont use the red stuff from halfords it made my bottle leak big time now i got to find a new bottle
DONT USE!!!!!

You sure it was the coolant that caused it, and not co-incidence? Or that you mixed it with existing coolant in the system and they didn\'t react well?
If you are changing coolant type you should ALWAYS flush your entire system first - they don\'t all play well together.
i know,i dont think i flused it correctly iam going to have another go at the weekend and give it a good flush, but checked on bottle in fine print says for models after 1998 so that was a big heads up
