Ian it is now defunct, I used to have membership number 7, I think it stopped about 5 or 6 years ago.

Was a nice friendly club, did a couple of vehicle parades from Brian and Michelle Hocknull\'s house in West Brom.
I wonder if anyone here was there in 98 and has any pics of the Sandwell historic vehicle parade ?

I did not realy know Brian, as I was more involved when Des started up the club, I kept up my membership, and even paid 5 years in advance incase I forgot.

Blimey you have been around a while :Giggle,

Really liked Des and felt it was a terrible way that Des was ousted from his own club by the "commitee", indeed because of the way that club operated it dictated how this club would be set up and operated.

Echo that.....then after the newness wore off the \'ousters\' started dropping out until it just \'finished\'. I\'d paid about 3 years membership fee up front but not even a courtesy  note to tell me that the club was closing.

Yes Clive, I got to know John Wennell the first chairman through the club, when a few of us used to meet at the Half Way House on the A127 in Essex, and the early 90\'s BBQ\'s at Jimmj\'s, bless him, but have lost contact with them all some years ago.

A couple of attached pictures from a Sandwell event in late 90\'s not sure of the exact year. Possibly 1998 or 1999.

There were some good events before the politics kicked in.

There\'s a surprise. I can only make out 1 Registration....a Series 2 1st Gen in the last picture. Not got it; put it in my scrap file, then found out it\'s still licensed!
