after watching fast and the furious the other day (as its ALWAYS on tele) it got me thinking and hence this post..
this is my fc when i 1st got her. looking in quite a sorry little state :(

no, the suspension / sub frame infront is not off her! :Giggle
then the next phase looks as in sig, adding the front stock TII lip and the cf hood (aka bonnet to nik da gReek)
then after a bit of a spraying, fitting my \'new\' rims, bgw. this is how she will look like after i fit my new front lip (prob diy spray the lip black) only differance being the mirrors are slightly different, and the rims will probably be black with red dished.

it was ment to be a bit of a project for him so he can use it as a base to make custom parts for fc, v-mount, exhaust and few other bits.. but the exhaust he made based on my fc didnt end up fitting on m1tch so that kinda went out the window.
also apparently ran into a few probs like pinched a water seal when rebuilding so had to pull apart again, probs trying to fit a 13b re uim and TB to use with apexi pfc, leaking injector seal, not having the right connector to fit the tub oil lines and few other bits i lost track of :Hammer
and some of the probs don\'t make much logical sense to me. surely would find out about the leaky injector seal before you realise you pinched a water seal? and in order to find out the injector seal was leaking you\'d need the tub bolted back on etc so would know the oil pipe would not fit.
and yes i am paying for labour but not for any of the mishaps.
popped down to carl hawyards yesterday to run an errand and had a chat with him. he was \'pulling my leg\' a bit about it. :(

also do you have spacers for the advans? test fitted mine, they could do with another 20mm or so. Or do you have decent offsets?

no spacers, offset i think was 38. 8j front 9j rears.
You can find out about quite a few of the leaks before you put the engine back in the car and put fluids in it.
You can pressure test the engine - which would tell you if you\'ve got a sound water seal or not (it\'s not an infallable test but if it let\'s air out it won\'t hold water).
You can test the fuel system for leaks before oil/water are in the engine and before the uim / intercooler piping is back on - you can see/smell fuel leak and see pressure drops on a gauge. Again - worthwhile checking this before bolting everything back on.
I suspect though that some of the delays may be down to Liam\'s moving goal posts ;)
So when are you hoping to get it back?
i must admit some of the delays was my moving goal posts, 13b re uim and TB as he couldn\'t think of how to wire in a 13b re TB to apexi pfc we had a look into running microtec but then decided to stick with stock 13b uim.
that was last year may/june time i think but past 5/6 months the goal was set in concrete.
its just getting a bit long in the tooth, if things were done within a reasonable time then the goal might not move. anyway, the point of this thread was just a show of how it should look.

Mrp do some 20mm ones for like £100 a pair. Some of those on the back would make it look sweet.

probbaly do with small spacers but I cant see the advans working with slip on spacers tbh. Actually come to think about it, 20mm
might require a bit of tire stretch. 15 mm would probably be pretty easy to do

still not seen car in life as picking it up sat but after all this waiting and \'dreaming\' i think i kinda hyped it up a bit too much in my mind and it dont feel as bling as i had imagined.
though i guess just need to spend some time on little touches to make it more bling.
