Hi all,....
I have been offered a HKS T04E complete kit really cheap, but i was just wondering what this turbo is capable of...as in BHP... The car is mainly a street car but i would like to use it on the track and maybe the odd run up the 1/4 mile :)
Any advice or info would be great.

Look in the 1/4 mile table, and dyno table Im pushing 365 at the hubs, more than some bigger turbos, and there are two cars in the tables running to4e\'s, all in all a very capable turbo. Im probably at the limits of the turbo now though, maybe just a few more bhp, until it will want dowling.
I\'m one of the other TO4e singles. Not had it dynoed but I\'m running better times than people who have dynoed at 360 bhp. As gary says, its at its limits. Mine wont run more than 15 psi in the higher gears but its got a really strong and smooth power curve which is what gives it such great performance. Bigger turbos have more power but in a quarter mile its hard to bring that power in. OK for TOTB though

Just out of curiosity how much are you getting yours for....should have my to4e on a newly rebuilt and medium ported engine back in a few weeks.....

The full kit will be at my door for 995quid.... i thought that was cheap .... or am i wrong?

£995 for a single turbo, that sounds cheap what else do you need in addition to that price
I\'m assuming larger injectors, fuel pump, larger intercooler ?
Any thing else ? manifold etc ?
are you telling me I can go single for £1600.00 ??
My supplier in japan say he has a brand new HKS T04E kit for the fd that i can have for 950... As for everything else, well that will soon mount up but i can get it all a little cheaper :)

Adam - do you know EXACTLY what comes in the kit?
Dave - going from a stock car (I know u have some bits already tho) u are still looking at a few grand. A decent fuel system can cost whatever u want it to - aeroquip costs a load for e.g., then you have ecu, boost controller, installation and tuning, air filter, all the other little incidentals that all add up...
Still, for any one with any issues with their twin turbo system i know what i\'d do!
standard fueling, no front mount, de-cat etc @8psi=300bhp
very smooth power curve,still playing with the set-up.

Yep... i know EXACTLY what is in the kit and i know EXACTLY what i will be needing. I have tried talking to pip, who has been very helpful, i have tried other companies, who just try and sell you anything. I have resorted to contacting a tuner in japan....who is a very good freind of my supplier. He talks a lot sense and has himself a 650 BHP RX7....so he knows what he\'s on about. I\'m just in two minds at the moment if i should go the T04E route. Not sure if it will be big enough :)

so what exactly do you get in the kit for your £995 ?
I thought the manifold was expensive bit ? is that with it?

from looking at kits on the web, that does seem an absurd price!! WHERE DO I GET ONE FROM!!!! *GRIN*
My supplier in Japan has a best mate who runs an RX7 club.... they did a group buy a while back on these kits and one was left over, It has been sat in the corner of the garage for a long time and when i stated i was looking for a kit, he offered me this one.....so a bit of luck on my behalf really :)
As for contents....it\'s as HKS state....everything to complete installation. I have a rad, intercooler, injectors ecu already, plus i have an uprated fuel pump.....

It seems to be a hell of a lot cheaper to go single that I thought which is good. I wonder what Tesco will say :)
