Hi guys was thinking of selling the Mazda, n getting another turbo car but not a rotary as these engine are starting to scare me, cnt afford another rebuild if any goes wrong puts doubt in ur mind wen u here sum guys have had there engine rebuilt 3 times!, here\'s the spec, it\'s gotta the normal day to day marks u get on a car but it\'s got a pretty good body for age,
Mazda rx7 1992 typeR
full rebuild just done the 1000mile run in, (but I dnt have paper work to prove the rebuild)
apexi ecu
18" alloys
apexi n1 exhaust
hks blowoff valve
plasma White racing dials
so how much do you recon I could get for this car?
with the rebuild approx 4-5k depending on how it looks
Who did the rebuild?
Brian ellis, did the rebuild for me. Do u really think the value wud be that low?
To be honest with you apart from the real cheap ropey cars it doesnt appear like anything is selling anyway unless your prepared to give it away at a silly price
Yea if it\'s not gonna sell for more the £5000, it wudnt be worth selling, cheers anyway guys guess I\'ll see how it goes
keep her matey ;) I\'m in the same boat as you... going to be rebuilding her soon, just bought a house that needs work, and 2 jobs on the go to pay for the fun in the summer.... but I think it\'s going to be a shame to sell now, specialy when you have a potential 60k of trouble free motoring ahead of you..... how many grins would you get in that distance driving it? deffinatly out weighs what you would get for her ;)
Jono
its not a sellers ,market at the mo
Yea that\'s true dude, n like you say I might be lucky n get away with a healthy engine for a long time to come, I have spent way to much on her now to sell it.
if the rebuild was only done 1k ago surely the place that did it would remember and be able to provide proof? why didnt they provide it to begin with?

there\'s not really any luck about it. if the engine was well built and you look after it you\'ll get loads of fun from it :)
if you\'re really worried about reliability, talk to your builder and get a list of possible reasons why the engine failed and had to be rebuilt. you can then set about safe-proofing.
Jamie if you want me to type proof of rebuild and list what what replaced in writing let us know.

Shagged water seals and corroded side plates around the water seal groove.
