Title: Tapping primary rail for -6 fittings
Post by: SiH on January 07, 2010, 06:08:51 PM
I\'m looking to go full braided and AN, but I want to keep my stock primary rail, as I want to keep the 550\'s in there.

I know I need to tap the primary, but am struggling to find out what fittings I can use that will clear the OMP injectors.

I\'ve found these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-807691ERL/ but don\'t know if they\'ll clear the OMP injectors, and how well they\'ll seal on the rail?

So, what have other people done, and have you got any piccies?

FD, BTW :)
Cheers dudes and dudettes :)

Won\'t bother with banjos, I had a chat with prof about this, just unscrew the banjo bolt and put a metric to -6 an fitting in them :)

btw the OEM banjo bolts actually restrict the flow to the injectors as they overlap lol so you need:

an6 to m14X1.5 for 1 rail, an6 to m12X1.25 for the other, and get a weld on -6 an fitting for when u cut the OEM FPR off the end of one lol

Well you do with an FC, check on torques_uk on ebay

The OEM fittings on an FD aren\'t Banjo\'s, they are a screw in fitting with 2 screws and an o-ring.

I\'ve  no issue threading etc, I\'m just trying to figure out what will actually fit wth the oil injectors :)
