Meant to post this a few days ago but spotted a real life Veilside Fortune kitted RX7 driving through Bristol town centre last week. Same paintjob as the RX7 from the Tokyo Drift movie. Looked amazing!!
I remember seeing the film and thinking it looked stunning but the pictures seem to have always divided attention on these forums. However I would like to say it simply looks unbelievable in the flesh! Was it anyones on here?
yep its mine ! well i wish it was ....true on the divided opinion but see them in the flesh and there awsome from every angle !
my perfect is
plain white
57 gramlight dishu\'s
quad rotar aaahhhhhhhhhhhh
A guy in Bristol called Lumdogmillionaire owns it.
Thats the one I MOT\'d about a month ago, the workmanship is
very good indeed. :)
Yep thats Lums. I had the pleasure of driving it a few weeks ago. Very tidy rex, well looked after, the paintwork is immaculate and the bodywork is the genuine Veilside. He\'s on the look out for a set of Andrews to go on it, but they\'re not easy to come by due to the silly offset needed to fill those arches!
set of andrews?
what do they look like?
The original set from Tokyo Drift:

Wow that\'s my dads old car lol L7 DFT
I\'m glad it\'s still getting the attention it desearves. Jason at super7 put allot of love into that car lol
yes, i remember this car when it was being built! was mint! glad to see its still going :)
Just seen this thread... Tis indeed my car & is currently recieving some choice upgrades to hopefully give it the power that the looks deserve!
Should be back stalking the streets again soon :-)
:Thumbs-upDid you sort your camber problem on the skybus out
Always said it needed more power. When my dad and Jason began on the project they were looking at putting in the engine from a cosmo lol
really great to see this car is getting looked after hope to see it again one day lol
Seems like a very well known car!
The power upgrades sound good, Ive read a review that some US import magazine ran, they said the same thing whilst reviewing the actual car used in the filming for Tokyo Drift.
Lum you lucky bloke! Would be great to get a closer look before you start stalking the streets of Bristol again. Probably the closest I will get to Hollywood (or should that be Tokyo?)!lol

Snapped the rear subframe mate!
Yeah im currently putting a single turbo on the car & a few other bits and pieces so hopefully will have the sort of power output the looks deserve!
Car is currently being stored/worked on in the showroom at the front of Protyre Bristol so anyones welcome to pop down and take a look!

Hi Lum,
Would like to ask who carried out the paint and fitting of the kit and are u still selling your car as seen in on P.Head awhile back....
The work on the kit and paint was done by Jason at super7. My dad was the previous owner and got it from the basic car to the beast it is now lol.
I think unless I am mistaken you re thinking about when my dad was selling in pistonheads and then it was brought by lum.

Hm...... am abit confused :xconfused:Giggle
I rememeber seeing it back then with the kit and a price tag of £29,999 i think it was?
If u don\'t mind me asking, can u tell me the price for kit, fit and paint as am thinking of this kit later on as its a really amazing paint job from what Jason has done!!!!
Do people actually like this then? Just to me this kit makes it not look like an rx7. Lol why not just get a kit car and put whatever engine ya want in.
I have to agree with you there, I guess its a Marmite thing, to some its a hidious obscenity to others its really cool and I think that either opinion falls into \'if you have to explain you\'ve missed the point\' type debate.
I can see why someone would do it its just as far as I\'m concerned I\'d spend the money on a really good spray job some subtle but expensive wheels and spend whats left on the engine.
Just went down to see the car in question at Protyre in Bristol, and I can honestly say it looks even better in real life. Absolutely stunning, and smaller than the pictures make it look. The quality of the fitment was spot on and paint was excellent.
Saw a few other crazy FDs down there, proper japanese drift look going on, a blue and a purple one. Also some skylines and 200sx\'s, really worth a visit.
looks bad ass. Could do with some propper dish like the F&F one though
I love the look of that car, i\'d quite happily own one :3gears-rh
Dave.
