I have a set of 18s on my FD and it matches the colour of my car.
Personally I think they look quite nice. Just wondering at 18 inch will they be too heavy for trackday use?
Will a set of say... 9.5/17 Rota GTRs be a better choice? I have a friend who is their dealer so he can get pretty good price for me. I know they are not forged but a lot of UK and US time attack cars run them now so they can\'t be that bad, right?

I\'d be interested in your old wheels?! How much?!
Thx for the interest, mate. I\'ll let you know when I decide to go for a lighter set of wheels.
I just checked the works meisters they seem to be forged. At the same size 18*9 they are exactly 20% heavier than the TE37s.
So does it fall into light or heavy category? At the same size will Rota \'light weight\' wheels be lighter or heavier?
lol there is a reason uk time attack and us time attack run rotas, simply because they get huge sponsorship deals to run them, and they are readily available, this DOESNT mean they are good!!!
those wheels you have are so sexy you have no idea, i got some light enkei wheels in 17" if you would consider a swap!
What sort of prices are all these "light weight" wheels new?
If you swap S1\'s for Rota\'s, you should be shot.
FYI, Pending condition and offset, your wheels should be worth at least £1200.
They aren\'t super heavy, but they aren\'t super light - IIRC about 10kg a wheel? that\'s reaonably good for split rims. Rota\'s aren\'t super heavy, but won\'t be as light as a TE37 - 18x9 TE37 is circa 8.2kg IIRC.
i got some black gtr rotas ill swop
Keep the Work Meister\'s dude and listen to SiH! No contest ;)

lol, nice try ;)
Right, weight wise, I\'ve checked my sources...
Rota GTR and Grid\'s are both circa 10.2kg in an 18x9
TE37\'s (
not the mag\'s) are 8.2kg per wheel.
Meister S1 in 18x9 is circa 10.2kg. Light for a split rim - My LM\'s are basically the same weight in a 17x9.5.
If you want light, single piece forged is the way to go. We\'re talking TE37, TE37 Mag, CE28N, Desmond Regamaster, Enkei RPF01, SSR Type C, Advan RG2, etc. They should get you in/near the 7 - 8 kg per wheel range.

im trying to help the fellow out :2Rolleyes
id rather something bronze any ways but i ve always like these type
They\'re not work meisters, they\'re ssr professor SP1\'s, I would\'ve though Sih\'d pick up on that ;)
They\'re worth more than meisters in my view, but not 1.2k in those offsets, I\'ve seen this car in the flesh they\'re high offset but low disk. I\'d value them @ £800.
I agree with Sih to go from these to Rota\'s is a no no.
slightly off topic, but what is that wing?
i\'ve got one lying on my bedroom floor (came with the car) and i\'ve no idea what it is or what it\'s worth.
and to swap Work for Rota... are you mad?!
Standard 96-98 wing. How much do you want for it?

cheers! keep finding late spec bits on my car...
i\'ll start a new thread when i\'ve got time to arrange a proper sale :)
well the offer is there
Didn\'t look at the pic :D
Indeed, they are prof\'s, but worth more than 800 imho - low disk, high offsets aren\'t worth as much, but these are still pricey wheels, I\'ve never seen a set sell for under 1k, £800 would be an absolute steal, I\'ve seen pairs of 9.5j et22\'s sell for that.
Batman: You\'re not trying to help him out, you\'re trying to get yourself some silly cheap pimp wheels :D Can\'t blame a man for trying though ;)
Meisters here for sale:

Those are 2 pieces though dude, less desirable.
they are 1 pieces....

I\'m not going to complain about the pricing since I\'m considering selling my weaker set :D
SP1\'s are more special than Meisters, they weigh in somewhere between TE37\'s and Rotas, definitely lighter than Work\'s offering, 18 x 9j is 8.7kg IIRC which is amazing for a 3 piece wheel, they\'re my all time favourite wheel & will glady swap some minty bbs lm\'s should a decent set of sp1\'s come up!
lol :D Don\'t undervalue them dude :)
Didn\'t realise the Prof\'s were that floaty - that\'s damned impressive  SP1\'s are some of the only wheels I\'d consider swapping my LM\'s for :D
Malice - they\'re 2 pc - there\'s no such thing as a 1 pc Meister ;)

the confusion lies in that these cant be split...they are 2 piece welded together....they are not cast in 1 piece....

So this is how the car looks like right now. As you guys can see the front wheels are too narrow for the wide body and it is stoping me from putting bigger brakes and wider tyres in as well.
So what I will have do at this point is to get some Rota wheels with AD08 and hopefully sell the SSRs I have.
I am thinking about fitting 18*10 SVN or 18*9.5 GTR on to the car. Can anybody help me with the offset, please? I want to go as aggressive as possible without any clearance issues.
BTW, if anyone is interested, the RZ brakes and SSR wheels will very soon be available for sale!
pics of the 18s! pleease!
.....joining the \'my those SSR\'s are nice\' bandwagon :mmmm forsale price is ? :3Confused
Ahem Jason?!!! Give me a buzz dude, u know where I stand on the ssrs!
sooo... fight to the death?
