Title: Xenon headlight question.
Post by: Daz Nuke on December 17, 2009, 08:10:48 PM
Can anyone please tell me if it is feasible to swap the standard headlight bulbs for xenon ones?

the ones that I have been considering are 12 volt Osram bulbs on the link as follows:

Thanks.

not had exp with decent headlight bulbs but for a few quid more you might as well go hid

hid 8000k (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/H4-hi-low-HID-bi-xenon-8000k-NEW_W0QQitemZ260523778638QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3ca86d624e#ht_500wt_1113)

8000k gives a slight blue tint to the light
else 6000k (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/H4-hi-low-HID-bi-xenon-6000k-NEW_W0QQitemZ260523775739QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3ca86d56fb#ht_500wt_1113) gives a white light.

You mean projectors?

Also 6000K gives off a lot more light than 8000K it\'s not just about light colour.

Yep, correct 4300k is best for light output..... ;)

I\'d like to put projectors in place of my dipped head light units ( within the KS quads )....

But they look and work far better than the candle light power that was there before!!
