Title: Hesitation at 6000rpm
Post by: benson200sx on December 13, 2009, 02:22:08 PM
Hi guys recently my car doesn\'t want to rev above 6k, the only mods I\'ve done to it recently are hks evc5 and a mushroom filter, the car was running fine after I done these mods but for some reason it doesn\'t wwant to rev above 6k. Can anyone help please

also I get a little bit of hesitation at low revs sometimes, almost like if the fuel cut is kicking in but the boost gauge states it\'s not close enough to warrant it kicking in. Can anybody help with this also.

Many thanks ben

It\'s just the standard gauge in the instrument cluster

what chipped ecu is it? knightsports? tbh havent heard anything good about chipped ecu\'s most are chipped in japan and become pretty pointless as they use 100 ron fuel, and just dont seem so good really should be getting a apexi power fc and getting it mapped... what other mods are you running? and why are you running a boost controller? tbh i would look at getting a good ecu like a power fc before you go messing with boost etc... yes a power fc and mapping is expensive, but its alot less than a new engine.

At the minute i\'m just using the standard ecu. I am looking into an apexi PFC but I can\'t find any in this country, do you know where I could find one?
