Haha, actually, that\'s me - I registered here to see if anyone in the club would want them, but I guess you already decided!

Would you say they\'re something that\'s worth me putting in the loft and hanging onto? I\'ve got the space if it\'s a sensible thing to do, but I was kind of hoping to find someone who needed them. I really hate throwing things out if there\'s nothing really wrong with them.

So, could I save some restorer\'s bacon in a few years by having this kit in storage, or is it pretty much junk?

I,m surprised u got no bids for the interior.:xconfused
Series 2 rx7\'s are much rarer than the series 3,so maybe that could be the reason, fewer cars left & maybe no one restoring an interior on them.
I\'d personally keep the interior & try again in the near future.
I think it\'s a shame if it does end up being binned, see what other peeps think?:2Rolleyes

You are right Stu, I\'m sure we are all going to kick ourselves one day for the part we disposed of.

Happy Xmass to one and all................

InitialDave, Hi mate....

Here comes the inevitable question, everyone on here groans, \'he\'s gonna ask him if he has the Reg of the \'83 they came out of\'.

Well yes Dave, that\'s about it, I keep a register of all know 1st Generation runners, SORN cars and Scrappers. So any info you might have left, just a Reg and Colour?

Doesn\'t matter if it\'s been scrapped, that goes in the history file as well.

The seats do wear out on the Seat Belt side with chafing so one day someone may well be seeking some. Only 47 cars still complete that we know of (1st Gen Series 2\'s), so the numbers are falling.

If no Reg then no worries......David.

I agree with you Stu, 100%, it\'s a real shame if they get binned.
I vote to keep storing them!

If there are only 47 s2\'s left what,s the chances someones gonna be restoring an interior in that colour & searching ebay at the time it\'s advertised?
I think miniscule,pessimistic i know.

I think I probably will keep hold of them, then, they won\'t be in my way if I put them in the loft, and shouldn\'t degenerate or anything in the mean time.

As for the car they came from, I\'m afraid I don\'t know - I got these seats from the archetypical Some Guy years ago. The only reason I know it was an \'83 is because there\'s still a build sticker on the back of the rear seat. In case it\'s of use to you, this is what it says:

FA22 - 00
C10  25Q
83E-07P       12

So, if anyone needs one in the future, maybe I\'ll be able to help. Though I\'m the kind of person that could well end up buying an entire RX-7 in order to have something to put them in...

That sounds like the best idea... buy a nice series 2!

I do this kind of thing from time to time, don\'t worry, it\'s a minor compulsion, I could deal with it if I wanted to...
