Title: Bubbling noise after turn off engine
Post by: Martin on December 08, 2009, 08:48:58 PM
I noticed a bubbling noise from the engine bay after I switched off the engine tonight just under the strut brace area, waited around 6-7 min to let turbos and engine to cool, and opened the bay to let it cool off better, normal level on oil and coolant was topped up, is the sound normal? checked for coolant and oil leaks and havent found any, temp meter never went over half way but oil gauge was low though it could be that its not very accurate anyway?

please tell me its normal lol:3Confused

Yeh you normaly get a noise from coolant entering or exiting the ast or something a couple of mins after you turn off.

and the oil pressure gauge lies too so that\'s another one not to worry about, but get an after market one in there to be safe ;)

Second that, I had similar noises, eventually started overheating/losing water....solved by a new cap! :)
