Looking for a bumper, side skirts and rear spats for a \'96 RX7. Tried 2 different people and were promised they would fit........both were pretty poor! Before anyone asks yes they were tried at a decent bodyshop.
Who would recommend who or where from personal experience?
Many thanks :cheers
Replikit usually do a decent job, they trial fit theirs to peoples cars, then produce them from that initial moulding, obviously you cant get them right every single time as moulds can go a bit wrong, ambient temperature, warping, storage issues etc, but I\'ve heard a lot of good things with regards to Replikit, I think they give a slight member discount too.
I think they advertise on here, give them a go and good luck
Repliit have an, err, mixed reputation...
If you want a decent kit, the general rule is that you get what you pay for. Buy a cheap copy and expect to pay the cost difference in labour charges getting it to fit properly. Then watch it sag and warp.
The likes of Chargespeed, Vertex etc all cost more, but the fit tends to be immeasurably better.
The exception seems to be Shineauto, whose kits are relatively cheap, but reports are of very good fitment.
I gave Replikit a go but would like to try someone else as well, are Shineauto a UK company?
what are you after exactly?
If your willing to give second hand stuff ago, so you know they will fit. I Have some c-west drft skirts and rear bumper.
shine are a US company but the fit is fantastic. I believe Garry carries some of their stuff at rotaryart.
My bumper, skirts and diffuser are all shine.
i\'ve had bommex and can say its a dam good fit, also had a shine auto copy of the feed bonnet in carbon which fitted well.

Hey, this is my thread! :spank

Hi-
I\'ve got a shine burnout front bumper, not a bad fit, but super thin so dont drive too fast! ;)
As for the rear diffuser nearly ended up smashing it in rage :(
I am on front end number 3 on my car, first was an RE-A that came with the car, perfect fit, got trashed by some idiot that can\'t drive. Second kit was a copy from Replikit, my personal experience was that it wasn\'t the direct fit it was supposed to be and cost me a days labour to get it to fit right, that is just my personal experience, i\'m not trying to steer anyone away from Replikit, just giving you the benefit of my experience. Third was an original mazda item, fits perfect. My advice is to either by an OEM part or a genuine item from someone like feed, RE-A etc, you will save money buying a copy but spend more money getting it to fit right....
best just to buy genuine, ive had 2 bumpers of replikit and to be honest the fitting was like a square peg going in a round hole it was shocking! my mate also had a bumper off them and again it was way out, took it back and they gave him another and again it was miles out, imo id never go their again and wouldnt recomend them to anyone unless youve got extra money to have it out right, just my opinion though
Shineauto have very very good fitting. Their burnout kit is really nice and flexible (it is thin, but very tough and flexible) almost like original plastic front/rear. And if you think it\'s too thin you can always reinforce it with more fiber. Also needs very little preparation (sanding etc).
I am a very satisfied swedish shineauto customer.
++ for contact with them and their shipping times and cost.
i got a shine rear boot spoiler. fit is great (provided its not tried to put on the wrong way round!) and quality is very good!
was for fc but still tops =)
Thanks for the tips guys :god, without being nasty to anyone i did try the above mentioned company and i was very dissapointed but i have had much worse!
I\'m going to check out shine and see what they have to offer, i\'ve got a lot going on in 2010 so i\'ll try to keep to a fairly sensible budget!
Dave.
I forgot to say, shine also have very much lower shippingcosts. At least to sweden compared to the other bodykit companies over there.
