Hi guys,
Ok i am now the proud owner of a 1992 fd type r and its needs a rebuild by the looks of things
I managed to get it running after it was flooded but it runns very lumpy like its running on one rotor, by un pluggig plug leads it seems to be the rear rotor at fault
I have not done a compression check yet but will do hopefully tomorrow and post up the results
I build high performance but conventional engines in most of my spare time during the year and was trained by a cosworth F1 engineer so i have no problem with with the mechanical work
one thing i need help with is component choice, i see there are a few options when it comes to manufactuers of apex seals and other internal components
I have tried searching but im not comeing up with much in the way of definitive answers
what i need to know is what to buy and from who??
also who is cheapest for components im getting quite varied quotes
The car is a project but i want it sorted quickly
Also some suggestions would be great with regard to turbo choice
what im after is about 350-370 wbhp but as lag free as poss, what components are needed, obviously a power FC, huge intercooler, larger injectors and a more manly clutch but what turbo or turbo\'s are suggested and other RX-7 specific mods are needed
Sorry if most of this has been covered but i have been searching for a few days now and im starting to get frustrated
It would be great if some people could put up the specs of there cars as this will help loads
Cheers

i would say for that power go for a gt35 running a bar should get you those numbers with a streetport
Cheers for the help guys, I have been looking at apex seals and there seems to be a few choices, what\'s recomended??
I have seen these hurley seals but what ones are recomended?

i cant acually see a question, just the image verification :3Confused
The seals i have found so far are the Hurley seals of which there are various types then i found the rotary aviation seals and the atkins seals
Im sure there are more apex seals but what are peoples experiences??
also Hurleys offer some kind of modified corner seal that uses three little coil springs rather that the conventional setup, what the pros and cons here?? and does anyone else make different types??
cheers again guys i now it can be frustrating going over this as no doubt most of the questions im asking have been asked many times before but im really struggling with the search function
