Check the brake light bulbs

I did\'nt know there were sensors to alert for failed bulbs, but inspect anyway.
Also if no rear brake lights work, suspect the brake pedal switch.

Exactly- there is a bulb failure warning system which is telling Mark a rear lamp has gone. Straightforward old style 21/6watt or 21/5watt offset pins on bulb, easy to get at from the boot area. If the lamps are all lighting look for a bad bulb contact or a wrong bulb somewhere. The circuit measures the resistance of all the main bulbs somehow, so a wrong rated good bulb will also put up the warning.

I\'ve got one in the car that I took from a 1961 Ford Consul that I pulled to pieces. It did about 15 years in the Ford, up to now it\'s done another 10 in the Mazda. Ford quality will shine through.
