Just after a few pointers guys.... what do you think would be best to put in place of the bushes... Polly or the delrin bushes??
Link to the delrin : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rx-7-Rx7-FD-FD3S-Turbo-Full-Suspension-Delrin-Bushings_W0QQitemZ120492005663QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item1c0de2191f
Aparantly they are symilar to Nylon bushes, but they don\'t deteriorate like the polly & they don\'t give off the anoying squeeks that you get with the nylon & solid bushes!!
Opinions guys as they are also a hell of a lot cheeper from the US than a set of polly bushes from the UK!!!
Jono
Wouldn\'t it depend on what the car is used for.
Wiki info : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delrin
Looks stiffer then nylon. But depending on what nylon is used it needs to be normalised (through boiling) or it swells with moisture.
I\'d go with the polybushes for a road car or the ride will be bone shaking.
There should be a lot of threads on rx7club about the ride quality !
Shaun
I have a spare FULL set (unlike the auction) of delrin bushes for sale too if your interested, they\'re not that bad ride wise tbh...much better than I thought. Really helped to get rid of the sloppy feel I had.
Lots of threads on rx7club like Shaun said...theres plenty of info about them there.
The ones I have for sale are "lube groove" ones which self grease (you pack the inner groove with grease unlike the poly ones that dry out)
Jon
i wasnt aware that polyurethane deteriorates anyway.
im going to be doing the bushes through the winter hopefully but still need to read up about them. there is so many different types.
jono let me know if you do order anything as we may be able to get a bit of a discount or something.
jon what kind of price are you looking for them?? email me some info to karl_tate@hotmail.com (karl_tate@hotmail.com) if you dont mind.
