Mazda Records Best Quarter and Month Ever
in Europe
•RX-8 took almost 20 percent of the sports car segment in the first quarter, with sales over 6,000 units

:) :)
Mazda seem to have done an amazingly good job with the design and marketing of the rx-8.
It seems to appeal to so many different types of people and I\'ve been surprised by people I know who\'ve bought one even though I\'d never of guessed it. Seems the attention to detail along with a pretty low price is paying off.
The thing I like about these sales figures is that it\'s got to be good for increasing everyone\'s perception of the rotary engine so that hopefully it\'s unreliable reputation can be killed off :cool
Quotehopefully it\'s unreliable reputation can be killed off
....and convince Mazda to make a new RX7 :D
Has anyone heard any more news about the new 7 since that feature in Autocar a few months back?
So far this year, in the UK Mazda have sold 6500.
Apparently the sales are going so well that the production line in Japan have built another 2000 of these cars for Britain that were going to be allocated to the States.
Obviously they were going to be left hand drive and are now right hand.
Still it shows that the figures of sales have exceeded the expectations of Mazda UK.
Kind regards
Carl
I\'m sure the UK is a significant chunk of that figure...
I\'ve just been on holiday round 10 or so European cities - and drove past another couple - and I saw exactly two other 8s. I see 2 a day in the UK!
