Title: Rear speaker fitting??
Post by: trotter on November 02, 2009, 12:54:10 PM
Strange one here,

Got me a quality set of Pioneer rear speakers to replace the "Premium" (read as "sh!t") standard ones.

Am I right in thinking that i\'ll have to cut the old one out of the mounting bracket as it appears to be a single piece??

cheers in advance
T

Nope standard units are screwed into the brackets. You might have to do some cutting if they\'re 6x9s tho.

once unscrewed they should just prise off with a screwdriver as they are also glued into place. just replaced mine and they were dead easy - hardest part was getting all the trim off without breaking it

Dont know if you ever got those speakers in but this is a handy guide http://www.maxcooper.com/rx7/how-to/stereo/rear_speakers/index.html

I\'m just about to do the same, replacing standard rears with some infinity 6 x 9\'s...

Should sound heaps better !
