This might be a be a bit of an anti-climax given some of the monster cars I\'ve seen on this forum but here\'s my car :)
I picked it up yesterday from Chris Philip who, to his credit, has been very honest and helpful. Thanks Chris :D
It\'s just had a rebuild and Chris has done a fantastic job - I can\'t give it any stick yet but it starts on the button every time and compared to a friend\'s fd which is approaching rebuild time the bottom end grunt and throttle response is spectacular :cool
Still need a couple of rear end pillowballs replaced but otherwise it\'s all good (so far, touch wood x 10000 etc ;) )
In case you\'re wondering why I\'m missing the front splitter, it won\'t go up my mountainous drive with it attached :(
:wave
Nice, when you were thinking of getting one I was tempted to post saying its never going to get up your drive.
I figured you would leave it at the bottom not remove the splitter :rollin
Lee
yeah it was a tough decision but I didn\'t like leaving it on the road. With the splitter off, I can not only get it up the drive but there\'s even scope to lower it if needs be :cool
I\'m avoiding any comparisons with my 200sx in case the sxoc crew come over and start beating me up ;)
edited: oops, forgot, it\'s a import \'92 type R complete with dodgy jap sweeties in the glove compartment. Yummmy!
looks great dude, black always looks lovely :D
hope to see ya at some meets soon! :D
anti-climax? with an FD3S? not likely! looks great - very very tidy. i agree, black is a lovely colour...although some of the detailing isn\'t as easy to see as it is on a lighter coloured car, i think black really accentuates the 7\'s curves.
congrats, you must be over the moon! :)
Thanks guys, I am over the moon :)
The exterior is mint, there\'s one stonechip on the right hand rear quarter and that\'s it. The interior isn\'t quite so good but it is 12 years old after all.
I\'m planning on turning up to rotorstock (should be well run in by then) and any southern meets so I expect to meet most of you soon
Hi Fro, im another upgrade from the sxoc.
Nice car, where bouts down south do u usually drive?
I\'m based in Poole/Bournemouth but I spend a lot of time in Dorchester and Glastonbury... not sure where the nearest meet to me is (I haven\'t checked tbh) but I\'m sure to turn up to one of \'em :)
looking forward to rotorstock already, looking at some of the cars that will be running it\'ll be awesome... let\'s pray for decent weather :cool
quite ironic, when I first got mine my mate said "bloody nice, but wtf didn\'t you get a stock black one" haha
Enjoy every minute of it dude :D
how about the Birmingham meet this Sunday (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5734)?
Wot it\'s not that far (http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/contrib/dday/wink.gif)
Looks good mate & hope yer enjoying the beasty.

Si (AKA jealous of you all!!!!)
Birmingham?! that\'s waaay oop north to me ;)
I\'m off for a debauch weekend in deepest Somerset this weekend so it\'s a definite no go anyhow. The drive to Somerset is ideal for running the car in too, all A and B roads so no sitting at constant revs :D
Thats 1 very shiny car :)
Get it down to Japfest at castle coombe in 2 weeks!
Yup I\'ll be at japfest for sure, should be a great day :)
that reminds me.. I must ask Lee about stand passes (incoming PM Lee :) )
Its too late for me to try and get extra passes, the event is only a couple of weeks away and all this had to be pre-booked a while ago.
Theres already a list of people who want passes now should some come available.
Ive noticed a few up for grabs on SXOC though, if your still looking there you might be able to grab one of them to get you in then just bung it on our stand :)
Cheers
Lee
Oh cool, I\'ve already got a sxoc stand pass, I was going to sell it :cool
Ahh right I havnt received ours yet. I assumed its not car specific but if it is im sure no-one will really notice anyway - it will get you in :)
Id recommend just hanging on to it and parking with us.
