Title: When going 850cc primarys
Post by: pigeon on October 29, 2009, 08:03:24 PM
Ok so i have decided to go for some 850cc injectors in my primary fuel rail. I remember reading that the fuel rail needs 3mm machining off the top. Well i have done that no problem, but im wondering if it also needs counter sinking like it was origionally, as the injectors dont sit flush like they origionally did as you can see from the pics.

Thanks for any input. Adam.

3mm is to much, its about a 1mm to be removed. The injector will be hitting the taper part of primary rail.

Ideal size is 52.8mm from top to bottom face.

Injectors need an extra 1.5mm O ring behind standard bottom O ring to make sure it engages in the bore.

I beleive there are two methods. One is to remove less and double o-ring and the other is to remove more, without the need to double o-ring. but can\'t find anything about whether it needs counter sinking if you take the remove more route.
Cheers for the info though dude.
