Hi guys
Just wondering if anyone knows of a knack for getting the a/c and p/s belts on a bit easier??
I\'m currently in the middle of disconnecting my air pump & going dual belt alt pulley. got the new pulley on with both alt belts, but im failing with the others. They\'re a proper pain to get on!
Haynes manual says the p/s component is apparently adjustable (havent tried that yet) but the a/c isnt adjustable. Even trying hot water, even cranking the 22mm nut on the alternator with a breaker bar, there\'s not enough slack & doesnt seem to want to move.
Any suggestions very much appreciated!
For the power steering one, there is an idler pulley - unlock the adjuster on the side of the bracket, and then wind it right down - belt will go on and off really easy.
As for the air con - don\'t know as I don\'t have it - but imagine it must have a similar setup
Cool, thanks Prof. Will give that a go on the power steering.
I have a feeling the air con just needs brute force i guess :(.
well thats impressive !
Holy crap!
I thought it was a joke when it was half buffered and I saw the screw driver!
Anyone want to do mine?
Ash
Just had a look in my bay, i can see the adjuster bolt on the p/s bracket. There\'s 2 actually, another one for the a/c.
Duh! Was right in front of me all along! :Hammer Thanks Prof. I\'ll give this a go tomorrow i think, tonight is pub + forza 3!
