Hey just two quick questions about my S5 Jap TII
Lately the car has become bad to idle when it gets up to temperature..
Water Temp is usually between 82-89ish but sometimes (in traffic or after a hard drive) it idles very bad revving up and down and can eventually stall.. Its will restart straight away and if Im there to feather the trrottle for a minute or so it will eventually sort itself out. When at light or parking it can be a balls to work with.. Any idea of potential problems?:rolleyes:
And what is the best oil and filter to use with it?

Sounds like a vac leak - small one, that\'s why it runs ok when it\'s colds as the rev\'s are higher.
Just one of the small vac lines that goes onto the inlet?
Think he meant that it was a small leak not a small vac line. If it was a big leak you would see the problem more severely. The trouble with a small leak is the pesky things are hard to find. Many people have this issue.

Intercooler piping looked ok the other day but might go root around a little further when I get teh chance..
Any idea of what oil to use as it badly needs to be changed
The easiest way I\'ve found to find these leaks is using some form of flammable substance in a spray can.
Be careful - spaying stuff around the engine bay that can catch fire ;)
If you use something that\'s very volatile - such as carb cleaner - it will evaporate quickly off anything hot. Do this outside or in a well ventilated area. The idea is that you use one of those small nozzle pipes and spray it around joins in the air pipes, gaskets, small vacuum hoses and so forth. You will know when you\'ve found it - the engine note will pick up briefly as the air fuel ratio is restored by the extra fuel.
As tiddles says - many people have this isue - and yes they can take ages to find sometimes.
Interesting way of tracing the problem actually, could have disasterous effects but Ill see how it goes.. Thanks man:Thumbsup!
If you\'re careful you should be ok - after all there shouldn\'t be any igniton sources and the engine will be warm so the stuff will evaporate off quite quickly.
You can also use propane / butane gas as well, which you can direct down a length of thin hose.

10-40w Mineral oil only. Casterol is good but there are plenty out there. I used Valvoline Turbo mineral last time but I can\'t find it local anymore :(
Cool just castrol GTX will do so Rory was suggesting this alright just wanted to be sure and a Mazda oil filter will do fine too yea..
