Title: Mazda RX7 Specialist Edinburgh
Post by: resampler on May 03, 2004, 11:26:04 AM
Hi,

Looking at purchasing a RX7, I posted a thread before and thanks to all that replied, I have found the information very useful. I wondered if there were any Mazda Specialists in Edinburgh if I needed to get a rebuild or some mods fitted.

Thanks,

Craig

Hi Craig

No rotary specialists in Scotland I\'m afraid. Nearest is WGT in Northwich Cheshire (S of Manchester) who are excellent. I use them even though it\'s a 700 mile round trip for me.

"The Garage" in Wishaw do look after regular servicing of a few of the Scottish FDs but I\'m sure they wouldn\'t tackle a rebuild. They could easily handle gauges and stuff though.

Cheers

Angus

Hi there.

No rx7 specialists in Scotland, however \'The Garage\' in Wishaw is extremely good...Marc know his stuff and has worked on many rx7\'s over the past couple of years...

..as far as rebuild time goes, the garage would normally undertake the removal of your engine, then sending it down to Carl for a rebuild, then refit it when it arrives back....is that right Ric??

Ric has recently had a rebuild completed, using the Garage and Carl....send him a PM and he\'ll fill you in.

Good luck on your purchase and hopeful see you at a meet!

Marc.

thats handy to know.
I was going to buy a FD3 but cos my work was a 60 mile round trip the idea was canned.
now that i got a new job in Stirling, its only a 14 mile round trip, and i don\'t even have to drive! (Prudential run buses for its employees!)
So my plan for a Mazda RX-7 is back on!

All i need now is a bank loan to cover for the car and add more for a rebuild when it comes

Seeing as we are on topic, I passed the Garage the other day and was gonna pop in and say hi to Marc but everything looked all closed up and no old FDs or 300ZXs sitting outside? Has he moved again or shut up shop??

Craig (another one)
