Title: OZ racing split rim tool/socket
Post by: m1tch on October 18, 2009, 12:01:30 PM
Hi guys, just wondering on this one, I have just picked up some nice OZ split rims from Flash 76 (thanks mate) and I have looked at the split rim bolts, they seem to not be a standard hex bolt, but a kind of reverse torx head bolt, I do have some, but none are quite big enough.

Does anyone know what size they are? I am thinking of taking the 2 parts apart to make it easier for painting/polishing.

Thanks :)

Can a mod move this to the wheels section - sorry, never used the wheels and tyres section before lol

It says OZ racing 10.9 on the bolts

IIRC Oz ones need a special tool - they\'re not the usual 12 sided socket affair :(

You can ge the tools from ebay.de :) The official Oz ones are money... Like, £50 money...

Ok I will have a look lol What are those studs actually called? split rim studs? Would it be worth getting another set of studs? *remembers how many of the things there are* hmm maybe not lol

I\'m not sure if they are stretch bolts or not on Oz\'s- if they are, you need to replace them. And again, not cheap.

I\'d guess at it being called something like a split rim bolt tool.

They are OZ studs, they will have to come out to refurb them as the finish needs refurbing around those - typical lol *uses hammer to remove them* lol
