ok when i first bought my car the stereo was ancient and was playing up because it kept turning itself on an off i decided to upgrade to combat this but it still keeps happening i replaced the rear speakers but not the front ones yet also. it cuts out randomly aswell its not just when the volume is really loud it cuts out when its quiet aswell and sometimes when its reading a cd this is the same problems as the other stereo and i wanna sort it out...any ideas?

check out the wiring and make sure they properly connected/ crimpled and insulated.
cant think of anything else but im sure others will be able to help.
just went out and checked that th only thing that really sttod out was this: car audio loom a set of audio cables attached to that and then my stereo loom attached to that . surely there shudnt be 2 attached inbetween the car loom and the stereo? how is your set up? does yours go from the car loom to the stereo loom ?
sorry if thats confusing
Kris
Thats probably an adaptor harness to make the mazda OEM fitment turn into a universal ISO fitment, ive done it on mine, my guess is a loose joint between 1 of the looms that will short out/disconnect when its all crammed back into the dash, maybe try and keep the stereo out and then try and do a short drive with it away from the gearstick and see if it cuts out whilst there is no pressure on the connectors?
i will try that tommorrow and il update this thread once im done

id get rid of the connector blocks and solder everything wires are esier to push into a small gap than big plastic connectors
