Title: Which tyres??
Post by: wiggy on May 02, 2004, 06:02:18 PM
Hi all

In prep for the arrival of the new Rex, I am wondering whats the tyre of choice for these beasies?? I\'ve had 4X4\'s for the last 5+ years and as we all know certain tyres suit certain cars.

My last car loved goodyear eagle F1 GSD3\'s and it made one hell of a diff using these compaired to say Toyo\'s, Pilots, etc etc.

So, from all you peeps in the know from running certain tyres, which do you say are the best??

By the way, I will be using the car only at weekends and hopefully get on track once in a while so they need to give as much grip as poss :D

Thanks

People use pretty much the same.  S02/3 and Eagle F1\'s.  There are a few people now using things like Dunlop Formula R though.

I will vote the SO2 but they are soooooooooo expensive....

but they have been brilliant and they come standard on Aston Martins

then you would not like Dunlops DO1J\'s 60% dearer but they are the only tyre I will use, leave the S02\'s & SO3\'s for dead, grip is brilliant, last set lasted N/Burg ring, Spa, Silverstone, Brands Le Mans and about 5k miles, very good for ya money
