Title: S4 or S5?

When did the S5 production begin. Can someone tell me from the registration date of 30th August 1989 if its a S4 or S5.

cant tell you that. But i can tell you that if the car in question is a UK car then if it\'s a turbo II its a series 5 and if its an egi its a series 4

hope this helps. If you want to put up some pictures im sure we could all identify it

Lovely jubbly, its a UK car and a Turbo II so looks like a S5, has got the round lights too. Once I pick it up tomorrow I will take some pics and post on here.

just a random thought. its not the white fc off ebay with the red hood, red front bumper, red wings is it?

Sounds like a series 5 to me. There was a series 4 turbo for sale a month or so ago, that was an import though.

Also, we NEED pics :)

Lol, not the White one no but a black one. I\'m not going to be able to upload pics until tomorrow, maybe tonight!

I\'m coming from the gen 3 rx7, after owning 4 in the past so I\'m looking forward to getting this and having some fun!

They only sold the series 5 turbo II in the UK, which is odd when the first FC to be here was the turbo II and not the turbo lol

Series 5 is better, more powerful turbo and just generally improved :)

Well, I am the new owner of a S5 Turbo 11 black cab, got quite a few things to sort out, mainly cosmetic and a few mechanical. It runs ok, waxoild underneath, not much rust at all generally good condition for a 1989 UK FC.

Couldnt post any pics tonight as I need to give it a good old polish, so keep your eyes peeled.

And also got a cracking deal on the insurance, £146, 1500 miles, classis insurance with footman james. Herts poscode, 29 and used as a 2nd car.
