Im just wondering if anyone has fitted one of these super ebay bargin 3inch exhaust\'s?? I had one on my egi and the quality of the exhaust was good for the a,ount i paid for it. But it was needless to say \'\'loud\'\'.
I understand that the turbo takes some noise away but im just wondering how noisy a 3inch system on a t2 is??

Looking good :)
As for the rad - looks very similar to the one I have - an ASI rad from China - which was fine for a few months then the solder/dip/weld or whatever it is between the core and end tanks started to weep :(
Shame as it\'s a good sized rad.
I\'m currently trying a \'liquid metal\' fix with it - but car now has other problems...
Best off going for a Koyo if you can get one
i ran the cat back on the car for about 20 seconds before i took it off - it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO loud
have a nosey
couldnt resist posting pics of my car ( :( )
i had the downpipe and de-cat mated to my kaki rear. was a fair bit louder than stock downpipe and cat with kaki.
was louder but didnt sound as throaty as stock with kaki.
was ok (not quiet but not deafening) to drive with i found. (the kaki is loud neways, i dont think the ebay will be louder)
Hmm might be interested in one of those Rads myself once Christmas and new year are out of the way. If you do get one let us know how it is.
I think ill just go for it and buy the zorst and probably just try and get a koyo from the states as a leaking rad is the last thing id want.
Also looking to get a set of these-
http://www.fbcompanies.com/selva/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/e38463756157d7230eda0f5e0bf3ade8.jpg
Hell yes to those wheels!!
But £193 for each wheel is way outta my league!
didnt realise you had a leaking rad :(
i replaced it with a low milage second hand one when i had the car
out of interest - did you post that plate holder ???
nah its not leaking im just going through the motions of improving the cooling system before i start hunting for more power.
Yeah those wheels are definatly expensive:)
Yeah i posted it last week?? If its no good to you just bin it and ill repay you your funds. If its not with you by weds give me a message and ill chase it up.
You want to buy me a set of them wheels whilst your at it? Very nice.
id love too...the worst thing is trying to choose a set...specially when your spending around £800 you don\'t want to be changing your mind when they\'re fitted to the car so im taking my time choosing.

ok - cheers buddy :D
I have one of those exhausts fitted to my t2, it\'s pretty good quality for the price, really nice welds, it does sit a bit high and off to the right which is annoying, as it touches the rear bumper, so I\'m gonna have to chop into that I think so it doesn\'t get melted. It is loud, only heard it at under 4k revs as my car is on axle stands in the garage, at that sort of speed it seems tolerable though, I\'d say go for it!
yeah the systems are great value for money and the construction seems to be of good quality.
I really didn\'t want a twin system with two four inch cans as it seems abit ott.
They are made by ss autochrome and I had that fitted to my white Fc. In the twin pipe variety they are not too loud and if anything give a good sound, slightly noisey at higher speeds but then this is an Rx7 so noise goes hand in hand. They are good value and in the two years it was on the car still looked newish with good solid welds throughout. It is stainless and will last a long time. You can buy the whole system from turbo back.
Never had any probs with mine :) have look in this part of the forum and you should be able to find the thread where I fitted one, along with vids of the car once fitted :Giggle
They flame very nicely ;)
Adam - just to let you know - plate holder arrived - just need to get some glue or something to glue the bottom bit back on !! LOL :D :D
excellent, glad it was of some use to someone as it was destined for the bin:)
the bin ... thats shocking !!
i have glued it together - needs some strenghening where its split though and then figure out how the hell to screw/bolt it to the car !! LOL
Did you get an exhaust in the end? :wave
I know but i ahve so much stuff in garage at the mo!:)
Ive ordered one of those ear bleeding single exit one\'s off ebay as they are good value and i like a bargain.
Just don\'t think the neighbours will apprieciate it very much though.
Got these the other day--

Which means i have two mazdaspeed 747\'s for sale:)
They\'re nice. What wheels are they and what sizes?
they\'re rota torques 17 9.5 35 offset, think i should have gone for 18\'s though.such big arches to fill:)
Nah 17s are nice. You need a lairy bodykit to pull off 18s IMO.
Cars looking sweet
That\'s the thing...I\'ve got a gp sports kit to go on it in the garage lol.
Quote from: Adam fc;649890Which means i have two mazdaspeed 747\'s for sale:)
I know where theres two more :Giggle (Admittedly they may be 50p shaped...)
excellent,can\'t believe how wide those 747\'s are!
Sorted my power steering coolling issue\'s with another ebay bargain-

Allso treated her to some silicone hoses-
(http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv7/identiti1/003.jpg)
The tyre\'s are a little stretched somewhat but they\'re a super hard compound so they smoke well:)

do you have the front fenders and rear over fenders?
if so, you should sell me your wheels :D
no i dont just skirts and bumpers, expect il just buy some wheel spacers when its fitted.
do you want the fenders? i may have some ...
Looking good! :D
i may be interested but i think im a way off anything widebody yet.Got an ever growing list of things that i want to do and my money tree is thinning fast lol.
ha, thats always the way!
is the single exit one you bought a full exhaust or a cat back ?
Bought a full system from the turbo back for around £200,havent fitted it yet but the quality looks good.:)
ohhh ... if you decide to sell any part of the old exhaust - then let me know ;)
yeah ill see hopw loud the new one is when its fitted then i expect the old one will be surplus to requirement.
Do many peeps still throw 2stroke in with there petrol mix?? just ive heard it helps with tip wear??
it should come apart the old exhaust - i had if off a few times
and i think i changed some of the studs to nuts and bolts .. therefore you can just grind them off ;)
excellent,il send it your way if im happy with the new one.Who made the downpie on the car?? powerflow?
the Y piece and tail pipes are Powerflow
the centre cat.. no idea was on the car when i bought it ( as were the above )
the down pipe from the turbo .. errrrrrr bought a car to break and it was on there
and was a BUGGER to fit !! LOL

and just noticed - all my threads look like i just whinge and moan !! LOL
whinging and moaning is part of rx ownership lol,ive had the axle stands out more times in the last 3 months than i care to remember and more skinned bleeding knuckles from rusty nuts and bolts than ever before.
Ive finally got my lazy ass round to fitting that full system....That turbo elbow was a biatch to get a spanner on though. The size of this new system is nuts. Its bloody loud though.
Noticed she\'s boosting abit higher with the new zorst as well now.Think it was around 0.8bar.
Ill get some vids up of the noise she makes:)

Good work :Giggle
Looks really good when you lift off from 4th or 5th at WOT as well :yes
:flamed
wheres the marshmallows? :Giggle
you should have tried to get the system off when the cat was still on - now that was a knightmare !!
so what you doing with the old system ?
( you do realise im trying to buy back my car in peices ! )
its up for grabs so offers accepted:)
What mods would i need to support running one of these ebay special ecu\'s??
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=FC3S+ECU&_sacat=0&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313&_odkw=FC3S&_osacat=0
Also which one would be best for my car as im running stock fuelling and intercooler?
Ive read the brief description on the ecu\'s but what do they actually change to the cars running/power??
Well The Apexi is a stand alone ECU that you can Re-Map. The others are tuned ECU\'s that are programmed already. Meaning that you buy the ECU to the mods its mapped for. Usually Intake, Exhaust, front mount. They normally eliminate fuel cut and up the boost also. Some are mapped for larger turbo\'s too. The Apexi can be mapped to suit your car and the mods that are on it. Then if you mod further you re-map the ecu.
I had a KnightSports ECU that I ran for around a year or so (on standard turbo, intercooler and fueling system). It didn\'t suit my cars mods exactly and made it run rich in some parts of the map and lean in others. I have since bought an Apexi PFC but have yet to fit it.
Oh I got 226bhp out of the Knightsports ECU. With the mods in my sig. With the Apexi I hope to be getting over 250-260bhp.
i\'d say go for a remappable one ie apexi
can remap to suit.
if u get the others then u wont know what its mapped for and like tiddles said. can be lean in areas and rich in others plus ur limited to what you can do. is no bigger tub, injectors etc.
Cool well in that case I might as well save for an apexi ecu.think the mods to date are--
3inch straight through stainless from tubby back,blitz bov,fuel cut defender,blitz induction kit,some sort of adjustable coilovers,rota torque rims,ebc greenstuff pads,silicone hoses,power steering cooler,short shifter,omp suede wheel,dtts eliminators.
Looking to also fit a front mount, bigger injectors, fuel pump, bushes roll bars, new discs, braided lines and eventually an apexi ecu.
Good job christmas is near lol.
have a think about the exhaust - not sure how much i would want of it - but interested in the down pipe to the main decat ( so the entire front of it )
okay well its aup for grabs so make me an offer really, got the gaskets too:)
i have no idea to be honest mate ...
i dont want to offer a figure and insult you :(
it should be easy to ship aswell as it will break down into a reasonable size box
and we ALL know what amount i like to spend ;)

This actually made me laugh out loud. Sorry Stu! I\'ll start the bidding at 50p just to get the ball rolling.
im not going to be insulted mate,i had that today when i went into the garage today for some welding and they gave me a price for the work that was insulting lol.
i could see that rear y pipe being a pain in the arse to post though lol.
i dont need the Y pipe or boxes - just everything else :D
It\'s yours! Everything down to the down y pipe then.make me an offer around £50?
£50 is the internationally recognised \'Grinder\' price :Giggle
he\'ll be along shortly to bite your hand off!
Good stuff, gona put those 747 rims up for sale if for whatever reason u may want them?if not il just shove them in the for sale section:)
How much do you want for them? :)
to be honest im not sure how much they are worth??
woohooo - im here !!!!!!!!!!
at £50 im happy
just to clarify - i need everything from the turbo back to the Y pipe ( although not to include the Y pipe ! )
i think its about 3 to 4 peices in total ( let me find a pic somewhere !! )
ok - cant find a pic of what i want - but it looks like its 3 peices
down pipe ( from turbo )
a straight peice
centre decat pipe
so let me know and we can get the ball rolling :D
im on those wheels if the price is right!
cool,il get some pics up to clarify whats there. Not sure of what the postage costs will be guess its quite heavy.
Make me an offer on the wheels and we\'ll go from there? Again it will be difficult to post the wheels so a pick up may be best??
excellent mate :D
i like the idea of pics - we cant go wrong at that point !!
if you can get a rough size of the box and weight - i will have a shop around for postage costs :D
okay will do,il try and get some shots up for this evening:)
thats very kind of you mate !!
i think there are a few places about that specialize in wheel postage
can\'t remember what they\'re called though, it\'d probablt be cheapest to use them over someone else though

try parcel2go. gives u a list of costs for diff couriers
A few pics of the wheels. The damage to one of the tyres is actually on the protective (anti curb) lip of the tyre were its relitively thick so shouldnt be a problem.
They do shine when clean lol:)

Also do you have a rough idea on price? i honestly have no idea what to offer, and will probably end up offending you!
Ive had a look around and the going price is around £150. And yeah this weekends fine chap:)
