Hi guys, has anyone brought any v-mount intercoolers on ebay? I`ve been looking at some and although i said i would never buy anything through ebay again cus i`ve been stung a few times, i must admit they look pretty good. Their between £113-180, quite a thick core, if i knew how to post a link you`d know what im on about. What do you reckon guys?
cant see you getting a decent new intercooler for that price might be wrong though
Thats what im thinking, no doubt a crapy Chinese copy, yeah i`ll go second hand.
Give Tim @ RX Motors a ring hes got this one for sale on his website

alot of people use the ebay jobbys, the cores are made by surpro or sunpro or something and are actually very good cores, the kits that i have seen on ebay just tend to be a core and 2 pipes... you will need to make you\'re own mounts and sort out the rad, you will also need to sort some ducting as without it its pretty pointless...
have a look at the projects part at SiH\'s project (project ellie or panda i cant remember) he has the same intercooler and has fitted it well!
Looks good, but i need a v-mount intercooler. I`ve used my 2core front-mount intercooler as a v-mount with my thicker upgraded rad in the standard mount, essentially making a interwarmer!:2Confused So now i need to sell my 2core fm ic and after market rad and go for a v-mount. This is the only thing that is slowing the project down and its a fa**in knightmare!!!:god
errrrm turn your rad the other way then so its in a v config and it will be fine lol?!
Haha yeah it won`t go that way cus of the lugs where the pipes go on to are the other way round. If i knew how to weld with ally could do it that way, ie- alot of pi**ing about! Nah i`ll sell both ic and rad.
so your after a complete kit then try www.radtec.co.uk (http://www.radtec.co.uk)
Thats more like it, i`ll look out for a second-hand setup, theres no way i can afford that. Cheers for your advise.
Man up it and DIY, you save a heap. My XSP core (generic chinese) has taken a lot of abuse as short trracks, long tracks, and hill climbs, and works very well. The key is the ducting.
its not hard to flip the rad, loads of people do it, if you are fussy, chop the pipes off mark up where you want them and take them to a fabricator and get it done bet it will only cost you 20-30 quid!
If you want pointers or just to look at pics take a look at my conversion! can\'t view it here as your not a full member, but if you click on this link it will take you to my local car club & you should be able to view the whole lot!

jono where did you get the oil fans from top idea was sat on m25 yesterday very worried about that problem great solution
Motorbike cooling fan from ebay my good man........ but don\'t go for anything bigger than 140mm I think it is or you will never get it in there! Also mounting depth is another one, think this is 40mm, but double check!
