Image wheels in the UK can make you a set of lips, are you sure they are 3 piece wheels? as if they are 2 piece only the centre will come out... if they are full on 3 piece its pretty easy to get new lips...

What wheels are they? Put up piccies and shots of the damage and I can point you in the right direction :)

New chrome lips?? Not sure that\'ll be easy...have them polished....mine look awesome, similar to chrome! But you\'ll have to look after them and keep them clean!

Volk CV Pro\'s - they\'re a 2 piece wheel - centre is one, outer hoop/.barrel is the other. I don\'t know anyone that can make the lips for those. However, the PCD and bolt pattern of the outer bolts is the same on literally hundreds of different 90\'s wheels - things like GTP\'s, MS01s\'s, etc - all made by rays. The lips for them are all interchangeable. Best bet if you really want to keep the wheels is to find some wheels with different centres and use the lips to make a set. It will take a while finding the right sizes, but it\'s do-able.

Or, someone like //www.alloywheelrepairs.net may well be able to sort out the dinks.

no point polishing them they went up a 7" kerb at 80 mph and are well bent. so lucky not to be dead or have written my car off.

I just need to find some 17s by volks with the same lips, thing is ill have to buy a whole set of alloys in that case. nothing on ebay of that ilk at the moment

You\'d be able to get  aset of wheels for sub £200 I\'d have thought. To get the lips alone brand new you are probably looking at at least £400 a wheel. To me, that\'s an easy choice ;)

how much do ya think to refurb the 4 rims? only 1 is bad the rest are alright. even the one that took the knock isnt that bad?

i love these wheels but they cost 380 with 4 great treads.

I\'d fold matey, finding another set is an option but the time/effort/money involved outweighs auctioning them off and just buying another set the same, they come up for sale quite often, & for not a lot of money, you\'d have 2 spare as well :).

I have a set of CV Pro\'s if your interested but they are pretty rough but not 80mph/7"kerb rough. Iirc the spokes have a bit of flaking paint in the corners and the laquer is coming away on some of the shiny bits and one wheel has a ding in the outer rim but they might be just what your looking for.

I was gonna refurb them myself in the same colour scheme you have but getting the time is another challenge

let me know mate and ill dig out some photo\'s

At work till 11pm mate but will send the pics over then, If its mint condition your looking for then you probably wont want these although with that said the outer rims are the best bits and will still polish up but iirc they are are far from pristine.

Anyhoo ill send you the pics see what you think, i would be looking for £180 collected or plus-postage for delivery as i was quoted £120 for them to be refurbed so would keep them otherwise and go down that route.

Alright mate just examined these closely, i think 180 is a bit steep since they sell with tyres for 200 on ebay and they aint in great nick, even the centres. will you take less for em, id only pay about 100 for em plus post about 7 quid a wheel 130 all in?

Ah crap Neil, I\'ve just realised they are the wrong lip style to what I wanted them for :( Mine are the 29 hole ones with the valve further out, so I\'d have to pass :( Wanted to use them to make up an evil set of MS01s\'s :(

Mr Scnitzel - if you are planning on rebuilding your wheels with those lips rather than just using Neil\'s wheels instead, you\'ll need to check that the bolt pattern is right - at it\'s very basic level, count the bolts and check valve location - then you need to check the PCD of the bolts (diamter of the imaginary circle that would run through the centre of them).

However, if you are planning on using them as a set without swapping anything out, then that\'s not a problem at all!

Doc, make it a round £200 posted and you have a deal,

SiH, Dr schnitzel has the same wheels and is planning on making a mint pair out of two rough/damaged sets i believe so the stud/bolt pattern will be the same

HEY NIEL YOU CAN GET ALL FOUR POSTED FOR 6.49 EACH SO 26 QUID FOR THE FOUR. i know this as i sent a set of alloys with tyres at that price let alone just teh alloys. go to parcels to go.com.

based on that if i paid you 200 and you had budgeted 40 quid posted = 160
so can i pay you 190 and you pay 26 quid post = 164?

seems fair. can you confirm the centre caps are mint or at least near mint?

Hey Dr. schnitzel, I damaged my advan super generation 2 split rims bout 2 months back, i had them repaired by a company called metmachex, they are a ally/stainless steel specialist, I had mine striahgtened cos one was well bent, they then welded the lips to bring them back up where they were scuffed and the machines them true..... they did a fantatsic job and would recommend this company to anyone to repair alloys..... if you intrested mate ill get you the number for them.
Regards john
