Dont know about the lights, but the speedo is a common problem (the capacitors leak after a while).  Just replaced my entire cluster with a 2nd hand one and cured it straight away.

I have that same prob wid my speedo, Dont really want to change my clocks, cos i\'ve taken that dash in and out loads of times and dont wanna break the top of the dash cos its so tight to get out. Is there any other way to do it, or is the capacitor as you say causes the problem replaceable?
Regards
Tobias

The capactor(s) are replaceable.  There is a good write up on one of the US sites, however you have to completely strip down the clocks/cluster to get to it.
