Title: sleek light wireing help
Post by: MaLicE on September 23, 2009, 02:54:11 PM
right i have a set of laeeq\'s sleek lights,

basically you have 2 lights in each unit, one is dipped other is main, atm it works that on dipped just the dipped beam is on, and on main just the main is on, however the main runs standard h3 bulbs and its worse than the dipped beam.

so what i want to do is wire it so that on dipped just my hid\'s are on, however on main i want it so the main and the dipped hid\'s are on

im guessing i need a relay, atm they are plugged in to the standard rx7 headlight loom, can anyone help or tell me what i need and how to do it lol??

do a search matey, this got covered about 2 weeks ago!! I got my mate to make me a wee box of tricks to do the relays. Although there is an easier method described on here. you basically tie a relay into the three pin plug that the headlights attach to, and IIRC you also need a direct feed from the battery.

i was in the same boat - even with HIDs my lighting is sh!te!!!!

search "quad lights" and you\'ll find the thread! :D

And a pic of the box, basically three relays inside that keep the current to the driving lights on when the mains go on
