Thanks Mitch, been up on e bay a few times over the last few months...seems that the seller is having a lot of trouble with \'timewasters\'.

Not sold, Reserve not met, only went to £265, could have been a nice project for someone.

It\'s taking some shifting.
It\'s a shame because although it\'s an Elford and that should make it worth a few quid more than a standard car, it\'s been off the road a while and people are reluctant to pay good money for a project when they can get a mot\'d car for not very much money.
I wish I had the storage space / time / spare cash to put it back on the road but, unfortunately, like most people, I don\'t.
It will sell eventually if the seller drops the price low enough but he probably won\'t and frankly, I don\'t blame him.
After all said and done, it\'s an Elford turbo, it\'s rare and collectable and just needs the right sympathetic buyer to come along who will restore it, not break it for the engine and bodykit.. I\'d sit it out and wait for that buyer.

This would make a good project, considering it\'s rarity.
Must be the 5th time i\'ve seen it up on fleabay.

Any idea what the seller is after ?

Did wonder if it was Alban\'s car ?

I am interested (well, so is the missus actually) in a gen 1, but budget is tight and we need a car that will not take too much to get on the road in the short term.  Just wished I\'d realised the one that Cal was selling was in Camberley - doh

The seller\'s had two sales on ebay that have fallen through, 1st one was a grand, second one was £620 odd. Both times the car\'s come back on.
It\'s deffo not Alban\'s old car; got this Reg and Albans Reg at different times.

That\'s one of the perils of selling on ebay.
People bid blind without seeing the goods and then they don\'t seem as good as in the picture and description when they go to collect.
I don\'t know if that\'s the case here but if someones bidding a grand, they must have high expectations.
I\'d want it with mot for that kind of money.

Andy, there\'s a mobile number in the ebay link. That is the number that the seller (Ted) has used throughout.

I guess so, didn\'t realise Southern Ireland needs overseas codes. Maybe experiment, see if it will connect.

Andy...Success at last. Got through to Ted on that mobile No. and he\'s given me an email address:- tedroynewell at aol dot com
He\'s been under the cosh with work and away from home a lot. He can Skype to S Ireland if you want to leave him your landline number.
He seems like a genuine guy, says he\'s tried to tell people all the faults and some potential buyers having seen the car say it\'s better than Ted tells it.
So there we are, hope it works out.
By the way, I thought it was Sudbury in Suffolk, It\'s actually near Wembly.

Andy let us know how you get on.

Dave, I tried Double S for an exhaust, and they no longer have them, but could make a special if required, but it would mean taking the car to them, I have now found one closer to home.
    Thanks for your help
