Title: Inserting some power into my EGI..?
Post by: N22CK_C on September 22, 2009, 09:13:38 AM
Well my EGI is starting to get to where i want it suspension wise.. so thought its time to start looking at getting some more power and torques ..

Just looking for peoples opinions what would be the easiest for the most power gain..

T2 Engine?
FD Engine?
Piston Engine? (JZ SR20)

And i\'m bit in the dark about mods to rotory engines so any pointers would be great?

Nick

T2 engine would be easier to swap in, an FD engine will be harder to fit as its completly different, a 13b-RE engine would be easier to fit, but if you aren\'t happy with the power and ease of reving the EGI has with mods like the exhaust and intake, best bet is a T2 :) although saying that JM garage has an egi engine that is producing the same power as my T2 lol

But probably half the torques. N/A PP 13b\'s arn\'t really a drifty engine.

I\'d say Dump a TII engine in it or Maybe go down the supercharger route. If you\'re wanting big powers i\'d go for the TII engine, and port it before you drop it in to save you having to rip it out at a later stage

well you can hit 300bhp with 0.9 bar boost and a decent exhuast. Would get a better intercooler though.

Then you need to start looking at hyrbid or fully uprated turbo\'s and more fueling and cooling etc.  Porting will help alot with an uprated turbo. You\'ll get better spool times and more power

also have a look at this

There are some FCs being broken, check Brian E\'s thread in the cars for sale part, not sure if he has sold the engine yet, but everythings up for sale lol 300bhp in my car will get my a 13 second drag time me thinks :) ran a 14.2 on stock boost
