Title: Another "Heat" light question & lumpy idle
Post by: 666FLO on September 17, 2009, 04:58:11 PM
If I drive my car, switch it off and leave for about 20-25 mins then try and start it again, the heat light comes on & stays on and it idles crappy and low like it wants to stall. If i give it a bit of throttle, the heat light goes out and then it idles fine. Does anyone have any ideas? It doesn\'t have a CAT and the knock setting has been switched off on the PCF commander thing. The car runs fine normally and under pressure. Oh and If I turn it off and nip in the shop for 5mins and come back it starts fine too.  So what else do I need to look at?

Some times the heat light is faulty, but the idle should be ok, has the car had a change of plugs recently as might need changing ???
